Acceptable Use Policy
We will only track servers that support the following conditions:
- Servers must be open to the public and not password protected in order for games to be tracked.
- AFK (Away From Keyboard) players should not be left in games for more than a few minutes (most players will state that they will be right back, or just away temporarily). Players will not sit in servers AFK, or leave a fellow player ( who is not playing) in games in order to gain points, stack the system, etc.
- A server must allow a minimum of 8 players--and there must be at least 4 players actually playing-- in order to be tracked. However, these must be ACTIVE players; it is prohibited to leave non-active players in a game (please see the above rule).
- Players should not be kicked/banned without a reason. You pay for the server, so you can kick/ban as you see fit. But please know that we will not track servers that abuse the kicking/banning of players.
- If you are going to have a team scrim, and you do not want non-clan players participating, you should require a password on the server. It is NOT fair to leave a server open to the public and then kick unwanted players simply to keep the server public and thus tracked.
- Every effort should be made by the players to end the game (either by getting flag caps, getting laps, getting kills in Slayer, and so forth). It is not acceptable to postpone the end of the game in order to earn extra points.
- We will not track servers that have players that run hacks (aimbots, lag hacks, etc). As the server admin, it is your responsibility to ensure that players are not running hacks, and they should be kicked/banned accordingly. If you suspect a certain player of using hacks, please let us know and we can investigate. One exception: some servers use modded maps (extra vehicles, special scenarios such as melee-only attacks, etc). These are acceptable provided that EVERYONE in the server can utilize the mods.
- CTF games of 15 caps will not be tracked.
Skorcard reserves the right to remove any server from being tracked at any time, as well as reset any player score to 0 for infractions against our acceptable use policy. However, we will do our best to ensure that we only remove servers/reset players who have been proven to NOT meet our conditions. If you suspect a server of violating our conditions, please send us an email with the name of the server, the suspected violation, and possibly a screenshot of the behavior. We will then investigate the matter (skorcard staff personally has to see this behavior before the server can be removed). If your server is removed, we will also do our best to help you comply with our acceptable use policy and get your server tracked again. Think of these policies not as punishment, but as a way to create a fair and fun environment for the Halo community.
If you have questions, or you need to report a rules violation on a server that we track, please contact us at skorcard@gmail.com.

Who runs SkorCard.net?
SkorCard.net is run by gamers, such as yourself, that want a consistent and accurate ranking
system. We wanted to design something that would reflect a player's skills, as well as give the player a tool to judge his/her improvement over time.
In order to create a useable system, we took it upon ourselves to devise another ranking system that could
be used separately, or in conjunction with some of the other stat trackers.
We also wanted a ranking system that keeps the user informed of any problems, updates, and future features. After all, we are gamers as well!
SkorCard.net awards points to players based on both individual and team performance. The total scores and points earned in-game, by all players, are tallied up during each snapshot (a snapshot is a capture of the players and scores in a game: snapshots are taken roughly every 5 - 8 minutes). The tallies are run through our special scoring algorithms, and each player is compared to the totals. The points awarded to the player are based on his or her performance in-game, as well as the performance of other players in the game. To summarize, if you are a lower-ranked players, and you outscore higher-ranked players in the game, you are going to earn more points than a high-ranked player who has a similar score. Remember, you can also LOSE points in this system...This helps to create a stable ranking structure that does not award players who spend more time playing games.
We give team points too (and we taketh away)! With team points, the total in-game score for each team is tallied up. Then, the total Skorcard score for each team member is tallied up. These numbers are run through our team scoring algorithms and points are awarded/subtracted accordingly. Teams with higher in-game scores, and lower Skorcard overall ranks, can earn more points for beating teams with Skorcard ranks. Make sense?
We also do our best to also ensure that common player names(for example, NEWOO1, MASTERCHIEF, and so forth) are excluded from the ranking systems. We do this because there could potentially be many players using these names, which could unfairly skew the scoring results. If you see a common player name, or if you have any questions about some of the names, please send us an email at skorcard@gmail.com
To recap the scoring system:
- You earn points by beating higher-ranked players, and you lose points by getting beat by lower-ranked players.
- For team-based games, you earn team points by utilizing teamwork and outscoring the other team.
- You lose points for getting beat by lower ranked players and teams.
How does the Title system work?
You can earn titles that are based on your total points score (total = your scores for ALL mods).
- Civilian 3100 or less
- Trooper 3101 - 3525
- Corporal 3526 - 3750
- Sergeant 3751 - 4250
- Sgt Major 4251 - 4750
- Captain 4751 - 5500
- General 5501 - 6200
- Warlord 6201 - 6999
- Overlord 7000 and greater
What other features does SkorCard.net offer?
Besides tracking individual player ranks and servers, SkorCard.net also tracks Clans. Registered members will be able to add users to their clans (including recruits), and a larger portion of the clan will be used when determining clan ranks. SkorCard.net will also offer signature images for registered members; these images will update as the player's rank updates, so you can always see what your current rank is...And you can show it off on clan forums!
If you have an idea or feature that you would like to see SkorCard.net offer please send an email to Skorcard@gmail.com.
Why should I become a member?Registered members have access to player name and rank transfers, clan member management, and rank inactivation. But, it is not required to become a member to use the website's search features; and, you won't be plagued with pop-up ads or annoying waiting periods while you are using the site´s features.
With Skorcard's point-based ranking system, there is no need to freeze your rank. If you stop playing, your score will stay at it's current number. Of course, skillful players will still increase their score and can pass you in the rankings. But, once you start playing again, and beating same or higher-ranked players, your rank will increase again.
Any account that has not been used in 21 days will be inactivated. The account will be removed from the rank listings, and it will be reactivated-with the same score-once a player uses the account again. After 60 days, any inactive accounts will be removed from Skorcard. We do this to give everyone a fair chance to earn points, as well as to remove players who earn high ranks and then drop out of the game. You have to prove your skill here!
How do I create a signature/banner?
Registered members will be able to create and display their name and rank via a banner image. Once you choose the player name that you want to display, you will be given the code for the banner (you will receive a banner for each mod that the player is active in). You can then copy and paste the code into forums, emails, web pages, and so forth.
I am playing a lot. Why is my rank not improving?
It could be that the game you have just played was not recorded by our server monitor tools. Depending on the number of active servers, it can take an average of 4 minutes for our server lists to refresh with live data. Because of this, some games will not be recorded. Ideally, we would like to capture EVERY game that is played. However, because of the number of servers that we track, and resource constraints, this is not possible as of now. But, we are always working on ways to optimize our refresh time.
Additionally, the server that you are playing on might not be tracked by Skorcard. Do a server search for the server name or IP address. If it comes up empty, then your server is not being tracked. Add your server here!
Also, you might not be playing against players that are ranked higher than you. Please see the next question... Do you have any suggestions on how to improve my rank?
Some useful tips:
- Use SkorCard.net to find the players that rank higher than you.
- Find the server or servers that those players are playing on.
- Get points as soon as you can (laps, flag captures, kills, etc).
With a little research and strategy on your part, you should be able to improve your rank.
How can I tell if my server is getting tracked?
Use SkorCard.net's search feature to search for your server name. If you cannot find it, first make sure that it is online. If it is, you can add your server here. How can I contact SkorCard.net?
Please send any questions, comments, and suggestions to skorcard@gmail.com. Your input can help make Skorcard a more useful tool!
